Definitif.id, North Gorontalo – The Regent of North Gorontalo (Gorut) Tariq Modanggu attended the opening of the Regent Ceria Cup-I Football Tournament at the Gorut Regency level which was held at Taryono Field, Kwandang District, Saturday (27/08/2022) night.
The activity which was officially opened by the Acting Governor of Gorontalo Hamka Hendra Noer was also attended by the Secretary General (Secretary General) of the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Yunus Nusi, Gorontalo Regent Nelson Pomalingo, Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), leaders Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), along with thousands of people who packed Taryono field.
In his remarks, Regent Tariq said that Gorut Regency itself has a history in the world of football in Gorontalo Province, namely as part of the core squad in the Gorontalo Regional Football Association (Persidago) team.
“And one of the legends (Persidago_red) is present tonight, namely Mr. Arlan Jafar,” said Tariq.
Furthermore, Tariq explained, Gorut Regency has also represented Gorontalo Province several times in soccer tournaments at the national level, both for the age of 16 and 18 years.
“Lastly, at the age of 18, women’s football in Bandung was represented by North Gorontalo at the national level,” she said.
Finally, Tariq hopes that the momentum of the Ceria Cup-I Regent Football Tournament can be used as a revival of Gorut football.
“Therefore, we express our gratitude to the Acting Governor of Gorontalo, who we know is based on sports, because the momentum is very appropriate tonight,” he concluded. (RRK)
